There is nothing quite as annoying as allergy season - believe me, I know. In my teens and early 20's I suffered from debilitating allergy symptoms that plagued me all year long. When I met my husband, he was suffering as well, and when I went into clinical practice I was shocked at the number of people who are also afflicted by seasonal (or perpetual) allergies.
It's almost ubiquitous with being human, and this shouldn't be the case. We are natural beings living in a natural world, and we should be able to do so without discomfort. After many years of trying all sorts of natural remedies, I finally found a way to understand (and heal) this condition from the root.Read More

Our conversation does just that - with a strong emphasis on peri- and post menopause transitions. I've never done an interview like this - I hope you find it insightful and please pass along to women in your life who might benefit.

I remember the first time I heard about Fire Cider - about six years ago in my herbalist friend's NYC apartment. My eyes teared up while chopping all of the ingredients. I was intrigued and slightly scared...I mean, vinegar + horseradish as a tonic? That's intense! But over the years I've come to absolutely love Fire Cider - as a daily immune tonic in the winter months or as a early-treatment for cold or flu. And, I've found my favorite way to enjoy it that even my kids can handle!

Moving from the momentum of summer, through the grounding of Earth, we arrive at one of my favorite seasons - Autumn - ruled by the Metal element. A time of year great for letting go of waste in your life (physical and meta-physical) and cleaning up the temple of your body.
But, what does it actually mean to "let go"? And how do we know if we are doing it? These are questions attuned with the precision of Metal, offering up the perfect opportunity to practice mastering the opposing forces of action and surrender.Read More
When I was a kid we used to eat instant Quaker Oat oatmeal - in all the gloriously flavored varieties. "Peaches and Cream" was my favorite. I cringe at the thought of eating that much sugar, artificially flavored ingredients and non-sprouted grain in the morning - not to mention feeding that to my children!
Our blood sugar does so much better with a high fat and protein morning meal after "fasting" overnight, but there is something about the comfort of warm cereal that I crave once in a while...
So I got to work developing this gluten-free recipe - loaded with easy-to-digest sprouted millet and abundant healthy fats to keep you (and your blood sugar) satisfied for the whole morning.Read More

In my previous post, I shared all the wonderful benefits of eating liver. In truth, my overwhelming love of liver resides mostly in how abundantly this food has changed my life - not because of how much I enjoy eating it. The flavor is, well, acquired (at best), and I've struggled to find ways to include it that taste truly delicious. My clients have too. In fact, it's probably the most common question I get - how do I cook liver?
If this thought is familiar for you, then this post (and recipe) are for you.Read More
I consider liver to be one of the most nutritious foods for women and recommend it at some point to most of my clients. This suggestion often comes as a shock to many - who have either understood liver as an unhealthy (maybe even toxic?) food or just plain don't like the idea (or taste). In this post, I'll share a little bit about my journey with this traditional food, the myriad of ways you can begin to include it in your wellness routine and why you'd want to.Read More

Two years ago I closed the doors to my clinical practice in New York, NY and transitioned to remote consulting. In doing so, I've been able to hone in on the specific tools to help women transform symptoms, break-free from limiting beliefs and step-in to a life of purpose.

I've learned these truths from my work with women, my studies and my own healing journey. Over the years I've identified key patterns within women's health so that any woman can vividly step into a life on purpose and free from symptoms.

I speak to my community and my clients a lot about the link between female reproductive hormones and intuition - the combination offers up guidance for your health and life decisions. My own intuitive guidance and my fifteen-plus years experience in women's health have proved this theory time and time again. Additionally, the wisdom of Chinese Medicine has a very practical way of verifying this claim through it's knowledge of the heart-kidney connection.Read More
